The Brief

Families is the UK’s leading information resource for parents, offering a magnetic online destination for things to do, places to go, events, news and competitions. Building on a long standing partnership, Lifecycle Marketing commissioned IDS Logic to scope and deliver an ambitious redevelopment of the original Families website to further strengthen Lifecycle Marketing’s leading position in the sector.

Our Approach

The project presented a number of significant development challenges which needed to be delivered in a stretch timescale.

IDS Logic designed a web platform capable of managing hundreds of thousands of pages of content across a nationwide network of content editors. Native functionality of the Progress Sitefinity CMS was combined with a range of custom developments including a Sales Booking System with Sage Integration, a User Generated Content platform, Ad Serving Integration, Bespoke User Registration process and Competition, Quiz and Survey Management modules.

The Outcomes

Through rigorous project management and collaboration between Lifecycle and IDS Logic teams, the website launched right on time. Since launch, the Families website has gained considerable traction, delivering the significant traffic volumes that were targeted before launch and creating a platform for Lifecycle to further increase its share of this valuable market.
