Abode Designs is a British-led, design-focused home and lifestyle brand offering a wide portfolio of taps, sinks, accessories, spares, and installation services. With multiple sub-brands operating across the kitchen and bathroom sector, the business required a simplified, future-proof digital ecosystem that could support long-term growth.

Building on the success of the original consolidation project (Phase 1), IDS Logic extended its partnership with Abode Designs to bring Pronteau - its specialist hot-water and filtered tap range, and ProBoil - its support, spares, and technical content hub, into a single Adobe Commerce (Magento) estate. This phase unified all customer journeys under one experience-led platform, replacing fragmented brand sites with a coherent and scalable digital presence.

The enhanced platform is powered by centralised PIM and CRM systems, enabling consistent product data, richer content experiences, and greater operational efficiency. With all brands now managed within a unified Adobe Commerce instance, Abode Designs benefits from faster editorial control, stronger product discovery, and a solid foundation for new commercial services including subscriptions, installation bookings, and extended warranties.

The Brief - Phase 2 objectives

Abode Designs needed to consolidate multiple brand estates into a single, scalable Adobe Commerce platform. The goal for Phase 2 was to bring the Pronteau and ProBoil websites into the primary Abode Designs site, creating one coherent customer journey across standard taps, multifunction taps and support-based content such as spares, installation guides and technical documentation.

The legacy proprietary platform limited extensibility, prevented meaningful editorial control and created operational overhead. Maintaining separate sites resulted in duplicated work, fragmented product data and disconnected customer records. ProBoil also held a significant volume of rich technical content - manuals, videos, spec sheets, that needed to be surfaced at product level within the new combined site.

Abode required a future-proof digital estate where product data could be published automatically from PIM, updated in batches and managed centrally, removing the manual workflows that previously relied on recreating information inside the CMS. They also wanted to introduce new commercial models, including filter subscriptions, installation services and extended warranty flows, all supported by a single, powerful Adobe Commerce instance with improved editorial control via Page Builder.

IDS Logic delivered a strategic extension of the Phase 1 architecture, covering the following core areas:

 

1. Complete Brand Integration & Strategic Consolidation

Abode analysed the full brand estate and product overlap to determine which brands should remain independent and which should be absorbed.

Pronteau’s specialist tap range and ProBoils support/spares content were migrated into the primary Abode Designs Adobe Commerce instance.

This reduced operational complexity while preserving unique brand identities through tailored UI patterns within a unified design system.

 

2. Strengthened PIM Integration

A PIM system (Pimberly) had already been implemented during Phase 1, with IDS Logic supporting that integration and data alignment. However, product data still required recreation inside Adobe Commerce, which added duplication and operational overhead.

In Phase 2, IDS Logic evolved the integration scripts and publishing model so Adobe Commerce could fully and accurately consume catalogue data from PIM, including:

  • Product attributes & finishes
  • Documents, manuals & technical files
  • Pricing & imagery
  • Category assignments
  • Rich spares and support content

This enables:

We also built on key areas including Page Builder, giving teams enhanced autonomy over content blocks, landing pages, supporting pages, and selected product page sections such as upsells and cross-sells.

 

3. CRM Integration & Unified Customer Records

For Pronteau, IDS Logic introduced a style-led, editorial discovery flow. Customers can:

  • Filter by function (e.g., boiling + filtered)
  • Explore curated product sets
  • Navigate rich product stories rather than only attribute-led listings

 

4. New Commercial Services & Revenue Layers

We integrated multiple new service and revenue models directly into Adobe Commerce, including:

  • Filter refill subscriptions
  • Warranty registration flows
  • Installation and service booking journeys

 

5. Content Migration & Product-Level Enrichment

ProBoil’s extensive library of manuals, videos, spec sheets, and installation guides was restructured to surface directly at product level.

Users can now access technical support content alongside the product they own or intend to purchase - improving usability and post-purchase experience.

 

6. Page Builder & Editorial Autonomy

We empowered the client’s team with flexible Page Builder components, enabling them to create:

  • Editorial and campaign pages

  • Rich, modular layouts without developer support

 

7. Reporting, Tagging & Merchant Feeds

We rationalised analytics and reporting across the newly consolidated instance, including:
