The Brief

Sensio is a forward thinking manufacturer of LED lighting products and a market leader in its sector. To serve its trade customers more effectively, Sensio commissioned IDS Logic to develop a new website and ecommerce platform that could grow and adapt to Sensio’s expanding range of products and exploit new routes to market.

Our Approach

Recognising that efficient business processes were key to the success of this project, IDS Logic performed detailed analysis to define the business processes between the website and Sensio’s back office systems managed in Sage.

We designed and developed a fully integrated online ordering system that allowed trade orders to flow seamlessly between an engaging and responsive website and the back office. Many trade account features were also migrated from paper based systems to online functions.

The Outcomes

The new website enables Sensio’s customer service team to manage the growing volume of trade orders much more efficiently, reducing reliance on offline processes and creating more time to deliver great customer service and advice.

The new responsive web design offers a vastly improved user experience on mobile devices and enables Sensio to reach out to a broader audience. Sales have significantly outstripped expectations since launch and continue to grow.
