However, in a recent update, the Ecommerce module is now deactivated by default for new projects. If support for this module is required, it must be manually activated.

Managing Sitefinity Modules

In Sitefinity CMS, managing modules from the administration section is easy. Modules are easy to activate, deactivate, install, or delete based on project requirements. To activate a module, navigate to Administration » Modules & Services. This will display a list of all active, inactive, and uninstalled modules and services for easy management.

  • To deactivate a module: Click the Actions link next to the module and select Deactivate. Confirm the operation to proceed.
  • To uninstall a module: Click the Actions link and choose Uninstall. Note that a module needs deactivation before uninstallation.
  • To delete a module: Click the Actions link and select Delete. Ensure the module is not active before attempting to delete it.

NOTE: If you manage multiple sites, deactivating, uninstalling, or deleting a module will affect all sites. Additionally, the module will no longer be available for selection in future sites.
